Recently, Tangshan carried out the observation activity of key projects in the second quarter of 2023. The main leaders of Tangshan and the leaders of various counties and districts led a team to conduct research on the Harbor Economic Development Zone and observe the construction of the 3.5t hydrogen power station project on the spot.

The project which began in April, is jointly developed by FTXT and a subsidiary of HBIS, with a total investment of 446 million yuan. The first phase of the project mainly includes one hydrogen station with a refueling capacity of about 6 tons/day and one charging station with 34 batteries. The civil engineering of the overall project has been completed, and the hydrogen station and other major equipment are being installed. It is expected to be officially put into operation in mid-to-late August.

After the project is put into operation, the annual hydrogen refueling volume can reach 2000 tons, which can match the daily operation demand of about 350 hydrogen heavy-duty trucks and 250 electric heavy-duty trucks. It is expected to become the hydrogen station with the largest hydrogen refueling capacity in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, contributing to quickly opening the high-speed hydrogen corridor between Tangshan and Tianjin, and accelerating the large-scale demonstration application of hydrogen energy vehicles.
