Recently, GWM HYDROGEN FTXT, in collaboration with SENAI CIMATEC (Innovation and Advanced Technology Center of Brazil's National Industrial Training Service), officially launched a road testing and verification project for hydrogen fuel heavy-duty trucks in Brazil.

This joint test is being collaboratively advanced by the technical team of GWM HYDROGEN FTXT, the engineering team of GWM's commercial vehicle brand, and the expert team of SENAI CIMATEC. It will be carried out in phases to conduct comprehensive real-world testing and verification focusing on overall vehicle power performance, driving range, high-pressure hydrogen storage safety indicators, and operating conditions under local real road conditions.

The actual measured data from this project will effectively enhance the R&D and innovation capabilities of local Brazilian hydrogen energy and fuel cell products, laying a solid data and technical foundation for the large-scale commercial deployment of hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks in the local market. At the same time, it will also verify the performance and stability of the hydrogen fuel system in Brazil's complex environments, with a focus on collecting data on the impact of temperature, altitude, road surface types, and driving conditions on system efficiency, and testing the vehicle's compatibility with different hydrogen sources such as electrolytic hydrogen (green hydrogen) and hydrogen produced via ethanol reforming.

SENAI CIMATEC is an authorized and authoritative testing and experimentation institution for light and heavy vehicles in Brazil. It is deeply involved in national industrial projects such as the Brazilian Mobility Program, ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels), ANEEL (National Electricity Agency), EMBRAPII (Brazilian Industrial Research and Innovation Company Support Program), and FINEP (Brazilian Funding Authority for Studies and Projects), possessing mature and comprehensive hands-on experience in vehicle testing and industrialization projects.

Meanwhile, SENAI CIMATEC, together with HYTRON and Petrogal Brasil, has inaugurated Brazil's first green hydrogen demonstration project in Camaçari, Bahia, covering a full-chain layout from solar power generation to electrolysis-based hydrogen production, hydrogen refueling station infrastructure construction, and end-use vehicle applications. Leveraging its experience in fuel cell systems, hydrogen storage technology, and vehicle integration, GWM HYDROGEN FTXT will focus on participating in technological breakthroughs and implementation at each stage, providing core technical support and services to help build localized green transportation solutions in Brazil.
