System to be showcased aboard demonstration vessel at COP30, establishing benchmark for global maritime decarbonization

Baoding, China / São Paulo, Brazil, August 2025 – FTXT Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in hydrogen fuel cell technology, today announced the successful delivery of its custom-developed marine hydrogen fuel cell power generation system to Brazilian shipbuilding company NAUTICA. The system was transported via COSCO SHIPPING Logistics and arrived at Brazilian ports in September, with customs clearance and onboard installation and commissioning scheduled for mid-August. This groundbreaking collaboration marks the first significant application of hydrogen technology in South American maritime transportation, opening a new chapter in Brazil's and the broader region's maritime decarbonization efforts.

Innovative Technology Driving Brazil's Energy Transformation

Established on April 15, 2019, with an investment of 450 million RMB from Great Wall Holding Group, FTXT Energy Technology specializes in the research, development, production, and sales of hydrogen fuel cell products. The marine hydrogen fuel cell power system delivered to Brazil's NAUTICA features an innovative modular containerized design, with the complete system integrated within standard shipping containers that can be directly mounted on vessel decks. This design significantly simplifies installation procedures while enhancing system reliability and maintenance convenience.

FTXT operates five R&D centers across Shanghai, Baoding, Canada, Japan, and Germany, forming a multicultural and technologically advanced development team that strictly follows V-model development processes to create automotive-grade fuel cell power systems. This marine hydrogen fuel cell system represents FTXT's latest technological breakthrough in maritime applications, providing zero-emission clean energy solutions for both inland waterway and ocean transportation.

Global Spotlight: COP30 to Showcase Chinese Hydrogen Innovation Excellence

Of particular significance, the demonstration vessel equipped with FTXT's hydrogen fuel cell system will participate in the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Brazil in November 2025. This vessel, representing China's advanced hydrogen technology capabilities, will become a global focal point, demonstrating China's innovative achievements and leadership position in maritime green technology to the international community.

Notably, the grand opening of Great Wall Motors' Brazilian factory on August 15 will welcome over 1,000 distinguished guests, including Brazil's President and Vice President, along with representatives from government, industry, media, and stakeholder communities. As a featured exhibit, a scale model of the vessel equipped with FTXT's marine system will be prominently displayed at the opening ceremony, ensuring widespread attention and further highlighting the fruitful outcomes of Sino-Brazilian cooperation in green energy technology.

High-Level Government Attention Drives Sino-Brazilian Green Collaboration

This collaboration project has received significant attention and strong support from government departments of both China and Brazil. Relevant Brazilian government agencies and the Chinese Consulate General in São Paulo have provided important guidance and assistance to the project, reflecting both governments' firm commitment to promoting green energy technology cooperation and jointly addressing climate change challenges.
